A Random Act of Kindness: A Mother and Child
Many years ago I worked in the city of Melbourne. I had just got of the train and was waiting to cross the road; it was winter, pouring rain and freezing cold. I had a fur coat on that I had only just bought at a sale, when I spotted a little girl and her mother. They both had light dresses on and were soaking wet. I couldn't help myself, ,I took off the coat and gave it to the mother - she started crying and thanking me as she put it on, and bundled her little girl inside the coat. I cried all the way to work thinking how lucky I was to be able to at least help out a little bit, to some it can mean so much.
