A Random Act Of Kindness: Gas Station Kindness
For a long time I went to the same gas station at about the same time every morning to get a drink, and fill up my tank if I needed. One morning I got there had my drink and said I wanted 15$ in gas on one of the pumps. Opening my wallet I realized I'd left my debit card at home, I was running late for work as it was so I told them to take off the drink and snack and to only put 5$ of gas on the pump as that was all the cash I had. The manager came over and asked what was going on, I explained the situation and she told the cashier to go ahead and ring it up, I could pay for it all the next day since she knew I had a long commute (26 miles one way) to work and would need the gas and she didn't want me to go all day without a drink or a snack. I was in shock, it was unbelievably kind of her to not only trust me but to give me the little boost I needed on a day that hadn't started off very well.
