Cold Comfort.
It is absolutely freezing tonight.
I was at the local supermarket and needed to go to the shops across the car park as well. I took the car as it was freezing cold even though it was a short jaunt. As I drove round I saw a young man sitting begging beside the big hedge and he must have been blue with the cold. I stopped and gave him a fiver that I had in cash and a multipack of chocolate bars from my shopping. As I got back in the car I saw a couple of others put their hand in their pockets and leave him something as they passed. When I drove by I saw him counting on his fingers, I hope counting that he had enough for either a hot meal or a bed.
