Work Smarter

We all want a lot of things. If you asked someone to list out what they wanted, they could give you multiple pages with ease. Some things are more important than others. If you had to list the order of which you wanted those things, it would take a lot more time and consideration. Priorities change all the time; the sick wish for healing, the poor for money and the lonely for company. And that's the thing. In life we will want many things, and the likelihood is that we are only going to be able to achieve so much. Sure you can maximise how much you gain but ultimately you are going to have to make some sacrifices. As long as you achieve the important things you can be pretty fulfilled.

So perhaps you've opted out for a simple want and wasted time trying to achieve something temporary. I believe all students can relate - we love our procrastinating - and we opt for the simple want of free time and enjoyment but we're actually compromising our ability to achieve a much more important want. That is, to do well in our studies to pave a brighter future that consists of much more time than the few hours of fun. Obviously not to say that you can't have fun and you just work until you return to the earth, rather that there is a parity we should seek. If you're not doing something that you should, you'll know it. Go do something important instead.
