Stress

I guess it becomes quite evident that people are beginning (or are already) stressing about the upcoming exams. People say stress is okay, but really, it isn't at all. The pressure of the exams are okay, but the stress, that is - pressure combined with our fear and doubt - actually brings us down. Pressure makes you stronger when you come out the other side, but stress brings you down and becomes overwhelming. It forces you to sacrifice things you shouldn't, it retards your mind and stops you from being you. A chef who is pushed for time can choose to feel pressure or stress. The chef who is pressured simply works harder and faster to meet his goal. The chef who is stressed however, rushes, makes mistakes and perhaps may even injure himself and yet not meet his goal in time. People need to handle the pressure and leave the rest up to God. If you don't, you're taking what God would do for you, and doing it yourself along with all the other things you have to do. Just work hard. Being afraid is not motivation, but the wish to succeed is.

When you're not feeling calm, do something different, like read a book, or eat an orange.
