The Same Boat

I heard the phrase "we're all on the same boat". By all, it means every single one of us. We may look at the saint helping disabled children and giving his money to charity, or the reckless criminal who attacked an elderly man, and either way we're the same. We're still all sinners. Though it's hard, and we all do it, we shouldn't pass judgment so quickly. The moment we criticise, comment, or even compare to ourselves, we're judging someone and that's not the way we were supposed to see each other. I'm being hypocritical when I say this because I know I judge people. The unrighteous will face condemnation and that's not for us to determine, but we ourselves will face judgment whether righteous or not. So cut people some slack and love them regardless because who knows, you'd want to have that same mercy.

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
